Brief Introduction of Annapurna Region

Annapurna Region trek is one of the most cherished regions for treks that offers some spectacular views of mountains, lush landscapes, forests, rivers, greenery and deepest gorge of the world. Located in the Central Nepal, this region holds the pride of Annapurna massif. As you immerse deep into the trails of Annapurna region , you will dissolve in to the beauty of towering mountain peaks like Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna South, Machapuchare, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal and many more.

The Annapurna Region trek mainly starts from the sparkling city of Pokhara. Considered as one of the best destinations in the world, Pokhara in itself is a touristic destination. Embedded with the lakes like Fewa Lake and Begnas Lake, Pokhara is a lakeside city. You can admire the awesome views of Mt.Annapurna and Mt. Machapuchare in the undisturbed clear water of Fewa Lake as you stroll by the side of the lake. Adventure activities like bungee jumping, boating, zip flyer, paragliding, etc. can be some options to recreate yourself with fun in Pokhara. Annapurna Sanctuary Area covers most of the area of Annapurna region. Being one of the most well preserved destinations in the world, the region is biologically very rich. As the region varies from foothills of Annapurna to the alpine region, the region preserves some rarest vegetation and animals found in this area. It is a home to some of the rare flora and faunas found in flat lands and alpine vegetation of Annapurna. The cultural diversity adds to this biodiversity of Annapurna. A Buddhist Gompa, a Vishnu temple and the Jwalami (Goddess of Fire) Temple is the major attraction of this place. This temple has a spring and natural gas that provides Muktinath a famous eternal flame. Muktinath is also a vantage point for its fascinating views of Annapurna ranges. Similarly, Kali Gandaki gorge – the deepest gorge in the world is a wild and dry terrain that falls in the circuit. Similarly, Jomsom is a popular town full of warm and hostile people that makes your trek even more appealing.
